I believe therapy can be a place where you no longer have to hold everything together. Many people learn to suppress difficult emotions, prioritize the needs of others, or meet expectations that leave little room for their own experiences. In our work together, I offer a warm and collaborative space where you can slow down, understand what you are carrying, and begin relating to yourself with greater compassion.
I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, burnout, identity concerns, and major life transitions. I am especially passionate about supporting South Asian clients, first-generation immigrants, and people living between cultures. Family loyalty, cultural expectations, and pressure to succeed can be meaningful sources of connection while also making it difficult to recognize or express your own needs. Therapy can help you honor the relationships and values that matter to you without losing sight of yourself.
My approach is culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and tailored to each person. I draw from Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy, psychodynamic theory, and systemic approaches. Together, we may explore how earlier experiences, family relationships, cultural messages, and protective patterns continue to shape your emotions and choices. We will also develop practical tools for navigating stress, communicating your needs, and responding to difficult emotions without judgment.
As someone who has personally navigated the complexities of living between cultures, I understand that identity is rarely simple. I approach each client with curiosity and respect for the many relationships, communities, and experiences that have shaped them. My goal is not to tell you who to become, but to help you better understand yourself and create a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and aligned with your values.
Before becoming a therapist, I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northeastern University and completed graduate training in counseling and mental health services at the University of Pennsylvania. My clinical experience has included working with children, adolescents, and college students from a range of cultural backgrounds. Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading historical fiction, writing poetry and prose in Hindi and English, playing badminton, and spending quiet time outdoors.
